Our Letter to You - English version

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare HareHare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

Dear Devotee,

All glories and oblations to Lord Krishna. We hope this finds you well and under Lord Krishna’s glory. With the grace of Lord Krisha and Nitai Gauranga, we - the ‘younger’ members of our glorious UK community - write to you to inform you of a highly ambitious community project we are embarking upon: to organise and host for the joy, togetherness, and enjoyment of the whole UK community, the very first of its kind for the UK: Ashtaprahar Sankirtan, lasting 2.5 days between 29 and 31 July 2022 (including a 24 hr Sankirtan from sunrise 30 July 2022 to sunrise 31 July 2022).

From a young age, we, the Project Management Office (‘PMO’), have been fortunate enough to gain exposure to and learn culturally important Hindu dharmic topics, rituals, and festivals from our respected senior members of our wonderful community. From watching their great successes over the decades, we have gained insights, experiences, and courage to organise this grand and auspicious event. With your blessings and well wishes, we plan for you and your family along with c. 1,000 members of the community to join together as one in celebration of Lord Krishna’s glory through Sankirtan. This event is not bound to any one organisation or community bubble - it represents the WHOLE of the UK and is open to all.
